Ministering with Music
We know that praising God through Song and instrument has always been a critical part of the Christian faith, that’s why we at Courtland Baptist Church seek to make the worship of God through praise music a simple, serene, and sacred event. It is our desire that worship may be preparatory for the proclamation of the word, and a time of confession, thanksgiving, and encouragement for the congregation.
Style of Worship?
“God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
At Courtland Baptist Church we use a variety of worship styles mixing traditional hymns, contemporary Christian praise, and modern hymns. This eclectic style of worship lets us minister to all, no matter what preferences, and make what is important, Jesus Christ, the central theme of our praise. No matter what style of worship it may be found in, at Courtland Baptist Church it is critical to us that we have theologically deep songs, which teach us the depths of God’s mercy and Grace, yet retain the beauty of being musically pleasing.
“Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!” – Psalm 95:1-6
“Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly!
Let Israel be glad in his Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King!”
