II. What interpretations did you discover in your research?

 

Exodus 13

What did it mean to “consecrate the firstborn?” (v. 2)

Where else is unleavened bread referenced in the Bible?  Write at least three other references (v. 7)

Is the reference to God as a pillar of cloud and fire mentioned anywhere else in Scripture?  In what context? (v. 17)

 

Exodus 14

Why did God change the mind of Pharaoh? (v. 4, 18)

What was God’s role?  What was the role of the people? (v. 14)

How long did it take for Israel to cross the Red Sea?  (v. 20-24)

 

Exodus 15

What type of biblical genre is this chapter?

Is this song referenced in the New Testament?  Perhaps in Revelation???

What reason does God give for creating Pharaoh?  Did Pharaoh have free will in that decision? (v. 16)

 

III. What applications can we take from Exodus 13-15?
