II. What interpretations did you discover in your research?

 

Exodus 19

What New Testament passages can you find regarding the Mt. Sinai experience?  Hint: we recently received months of preaching on one of these books. (v. 10-15)

What does this chapter demonstrate about the character of God?  (v. 16-24)

 

Exodus 20

What does God anchor the reason for the Ten Commandments?  How does that compare to the complaints of the people? (v. 2)

Find a New Testament reference citing or paraphrasing each of the Ten Commandments (only one is not found in the New Testament – do you know which one)?  (v. 6)

 

Exodus 21

Does the law about slaves address any of the critical-race theory (CRT) arguments today? (v. 1)

What does this chapter say about the importance of man being made in the image of God?  How can you demonstrate that importance from these verses?

 

III. What applications can we take from Exodus 19-21?
