Worship Through Music

You know that as a Christian we worship God through music, which consists of singing, playing of musical instruments, poetry and joyous laughter and conversation.  We listen to these on the radio, on CDs, in churches, on television etc.  Praising God through music is vital and important to Christians.  Where does this come from?  It comes from God!  The Bible emphasizes rejoicing in heaven and there are angels rejoicing with us.   (Revelations 5:11, 7:9).  All through the Bible are examples of God’s children rejoicing through song and music.  But, most importantly, God plays music for us every day.  All we have to do is listen.  As outdoorsmen, hunters, outside laborers, nature lovers or people who just love to be in God’s creation, we have a front row seat for God’s music.  All we need to do is be still, listen, and wait on God.  You can hear birds singing, streams gurgling, the boom of thunder, a squirrel chattering, the whirr of the wings of a bird, ice cracking, the plunk of an acorn falling, a turkey gobbling, the drip of melting snow, the roar of a waterfall, a deer snorting, a cricket chirping and much more if we listen.  God plays a symphony to us all the time.  He plays it for us to enjoy and to know that it is from His greatness.  Let us enjoy God’s music and praise His name.  How great a God is He!!  Amen and Amen!
